DO NOT CALL A NUMBER THAT CAME UP IN A POP-UP
The victim was using her computer, and while she was on the Classmates webpage she received an alert notification directing her to contact a phone number for help because her Microsoft computer was compromised and would be shut down. She called the number and made contact with
a male who identified himself as Jason and after conversing back and forth with him for a while he convinced her to take out $20,000 in cash from her bank, visit two separate Lowes stores, and purchase two packages of gift cards that contained 5 cards in each pack, and load $2,000 on each
gift card. She stated Jason told her all the money would be put back into her account once her computer was fixed but her money was never returned after she sent him all the number and code
