The victim stated he met who he thought was a 22-year-old female on a dating application called "BUBU." After texting for several days, he was convinced to send nude photographs of himself. The recipient immediately requested $500 or the photographs would be posted on several social media outlets. When the victim declined, the amount was lowered to $300. At this time, the victim has not sent any amount of money. He was advised to notify the suspect(s) that he has notified his local law enforcement and stop using this application.
