The victim advised around 1607 hours she received a call from 763.433.6404 by a male claiming to be a police officer. The male claimed she was going to be arrested for drug crimes because someone in another state was using her name. The male asked her to purchase gift cards in order to avoid arrest. She panicked and followed the demands of the caller. Another male claiming to be an officer by the name of Eric Wilson assisted in facilitating the gift card purchases from phone number 239 842 7465. The victim went to Walmart and purchased two $500 gift cards and provided Eric with the card numbers. She then went to Lowes per their request and purchased two more $500 gift cards. She then went back to Walmart and purchased a $300 and $400 gift card. She provided them with all the card numbers then went home. They told her that an officer would meet her today at home and return the money. She said the male called today and requested more gift cards so she hung up and went to the police station to file a report. She was advised this is a scam and she began crying. She was advised to contact her banks and advised them of the incident.
