Officer was dispatched a fraud report by phone. The reported posting furniture for sale on Facebook Marketplace on September of 2021 for $1,000. An interested party agreed to buy the furniture and mailed her a cashier's check for $2000. When questioned about the higher amount, the party stated it was for a moving truck and requested she transfer the money using the Zelle Application. The RP then cashed the check at Wells Fargo and transferred $1,000 using the Zelle App. The money was transferred to "Mflorez moving company Flores" with email address "authumfalls891[@]gmail.com." The RP later learned from Wells Fargo that the cashier's check was fraudulent, and she has now suffered a monetary loss of $1,000; the amount she transferred. The RP provided me with a screenshot of her Zelle App which I uploaded to iCrimeFighter. No further information at this time.
